I have had good luck with Porsche. They have some super solid cars designed to be on the road for decades. The frames and build quality stays stiff and tight. Parts are reasonable and they are fun to work on as it is more challenging then my chevy but they make sense.. if that makes sense? If you work on cars it probably does.

I had a CL600 12 cylinder same motor which is excellent the electronics are a freakin nightmare, like all SL’s. I wouldn’t touch that thing! In fact I’ve owned six Mercedes-Benz still have one, will never ever buy another!

I sell kits to replace the leaking seals in all 1990-2002 SL's. 1990-1996 use 12 hydraulic cylinders, 1997+ use 11. You can repair most of them yourself in under 15 minutes each once moved. Mine are superior to the OEM seals that Mercedes still has in their replacement R129 cylinders. Check them out at mercedestopseals.com
