Walt Disney Studios
A thrilling and vibrant live-action adaptation of Disney’s animated classic, “Aladdin” is the exciting tale of the charming street rat Aladdin, the courageous and self-determined Princess Jasmine and the Genie who may be the key to their future. Directed by Guy Ritchie, who brings his singular flair for fast-paced, visceral action to the fictitious port city of Agrabah, “Aladdin” is written by John August and Ritchie based on Disney’s “Aladdin.” The film stars Will Smith as the Genie; Mena Massoud as Aladdin; Naomi Scott as Jasmine; Marwan Kenzari as Jafar; Navid Negahban as the Sultan; Nasim Pedrad as Dalia and Billy Magnussen as Prince Anders.

“Aladdin” is produced by Dan Lin, p.g.a., and Jonathan Eirich, p.g.a., with Kevin De La Noy and Marc Platt serving as executive producers. Eight-time Academy Award®-winning composer Alan Menken provides the score, which includes new recordings of the original songs written by Menken and Oscar®-winning lyricists Howard Ashman and Tim Rice and includes two new songs written by Menken and lyrics by Oscar and Tony Award®-winning songwriters Benj Pasek and Justin Paul.

Everyone talking about the costume design makes me think of something that I, personally, feel is consistently upgraded in these live action movies.
The outfits are always way more detailed and obviously behave in a realistic way. Often, the main character gets multiple new outfits that we don't see in the cartoon with at least one being a direct reference to the original, just with more details. They all still fit in brilliantly with the original character's style as well. Especially in this version. Aladdin still doesn't have many outfits but Jasmine is a princess and in the original, we only see her in the one outfit (She wears it in the town too, just with a simple coat and hood hiding it). Oh, and the one that looks almost exactly the same but in red.
Now we get all these exquisite, more accurate, varied and more detailed gowns that she wears, with multiple in the whole movie. Even her disguise is more detailed along with the background characters. And it's obvious why: as an animator (back when animation was done by hand), you don't want to over complicate things.
Watch back the original movie and look at how simple most of the outfits are. Of course, it makes sense even more when you consider how much work they had to put in to create the genie. Obviously, without having to hand draw every frame, outfits from movies like Tangled and Frozen have a lot more detail but when creating a live action movie, the costume is made once and can be worn through multiple scenes. Imagine having to animate every single frame of Jasmine wearing the outfit based on the original movie with all the peacock feather designs and jewelry and the veil. Look at the details added to the crown and, well, the whole outfit is covered in gold decals and floaty materials. The original outfit was so simple and the same goes for Aladdin and Belle and Cinderella.
As much as I do actually love them, I have to admit that these remakes are, in my opinion, unnecessary and not the originals, which are classics and made for animation, but the detail that can now be put into the set and outfits is undeniable and can go underappreciated. But whilst watching this movie, I couldn't help but think abut how much thought could be put into it's look without the constraints of every frame being hand drawn.

(Sorry for the super long comment, congrats if you read it all!)

Dalia is the love interest for Genie and I'm not sure how I feel about Genie having a love interest.
Like why?

Zayn should have been Alladin
Tara Sutaria should have been Jasmine.

Not excited at all for this one.
You’ve got to be a bit basic to go and see the same film re hashed as a “real life” version...

If it is revealed that Dalia is the secret daughter of Jafar or a secret villain then I’m going to scream.

Looks like I won’t be screaming. I actually like Dalia’s character very much.
