MAJESTIC - One of 5 residences located inside a landmarked East Village building, this 1600 square foot triplex with a 425 square foot private terrace underwent an eco-friendly redesign by ManiFold Architecture Studio in 2008.

This open & airy home features over 16 foot ceilings and offers fantastic South, East & West exposures. On the first floor is an open chef's kitchen with Viking Range, SubZero Fridge, Miele Dishwasher and plenty of counter space leading into the vast dining and entertaining area capped off by stained glass windows & a Bisazza chandelier. Discretely tucked away -- this floor also houses a large powder room with a Bosch washer/dryer. The custom-designed stair case adds function & fluidity as well as tremendous storage -- including a 132 bottle SubZero wine fridge. The mezzanine level is used as a library/office and large walk-in closet. Finally, on the top floor is a king size master suite with a bathroom encased in a custom built glass wall where one can bathe in the decadent Agape Spoon Tub while gazing upon your large, private deck; the perfect escape from the city.

Green features include: LED recessed lighting w/ touchpad control, solar shades & privacy film on windows, water based stains and low voc paints used exclusively, low flow bathroom fixtures and Eco-Arbor Ipe decking, amongst others. There is also a central AC system in place with programmable, touch screen thermostats. A true New York City gem.

Additional features of this property include: Lovely Treelined Street and Pet Friendly.

How much is the rent for that house?😭
Fascinating. I lived a couple of doors down from here in the 80s and 90s. in a studio the size of a shoebox. 234 E 7th.
This building was originally a deconsecrated synagogue. I remember when it was reconstructed as a co-op building back in about 1984. An interesting story.
