Huawei's Chinese Phones Are Also American | WSJ
They are not anymore.

Why are Americans so aggressive for what is “their technology”? Japanese invented mobile phones, WiFi, video camera. Everything you need to watch this video yet they share their knowledge and nobody even knows they invented all this.

The technology embargo will super evolve Huawei.

basically, USA is pushing China based Huawei to use parts NOT made in USA, instead of any made in USA.
ideal solution for Huawei: stop using any parts made in USA completely, forever, period.
no sense facing any more restrictions in the future, forever.

it only adds extra motivation to develop entirely all future technology and materials outside of USA entirely.

btw, it's presumptuous on the part of WSJ to claim smartphone users use Google apps, like GMail, or other Google apps.
no one using Apple iPhones do
and those using Google's android OS, on android smartphones use the android OS, but not necessarily any other Google apps.

nowadays, one cannot even use Google search engine without being forced to automatically be pre-signed in, even when using Samsung internet browser, and have Google SPY (record) every search with online browser web version of Google search engine!
the same Google SPYING goes on with their YOUTUBE, even if one deletes all history and search, Youtube "actually keeps it all anyway (cloud)", this is how they SPY without any means to clear personal browsing!

users should have the option to use any smartphone as a pocket pc/communicator completely anonymously, with no sign-in, and no SIM chip necessary, nor any GPS location data. (not everyone needs a "phone" per se, but plenty enjoy "computing")

Huawei is an instrument of the Chinese govt. Google is an instrument of the American govt.
If u call me a wumao you're autistic
It's only a problem when the USA's relentless spying on the entire world is being jeopardized. When they spy on other countries and their own citizens illegally, it's not a problem right? But the moment another country uses THEIR OWN patents and create leading technology, it's an 'instrument of the authorities used to spy on other countries'. Western double standards and exceptionalism at its finest :)

Banning Huawei is actually banning American products. Isn't it stupid?

This is exactly why Trump and his pack of barking dogs trade war advisors cum backdoor economists have failed miserably, fumbling from one blunder after another, leading the nation on a wild goose chase. They don't understand the complexities of what tariffs and trade deficits are.

The WSJ is so fair and unbiased, I don't know what they would write if they did not like me. No more subscription from this guy.

I still find difficult to understand why did trump reversed his decision from keeping the ban. After this ban; US company's are expected to stop doing business with Huawei for allegations to work with Chinese Government.
Now, if US bans Huawei; US company's would be obliged to stop doing any business with Huawei.

Now, if trump wants these US companies to put their country first; how can he expects Huawei being an Chinese company to put US more than while he is a Chinese company..

I personally wanted trump to keep banning Huawei; only then, these company's show their capabilities in making the Huawei Ark OS better than iOS and Android.

I am sure that these companies don't want too even give a remote chance for Huawei to become independent of US companies.

How Coward and disgusting creature trump really is...

The whole world see clearly that US companies are all controlled by US government. US government and politicians just act like thieves calling other people thief.. how many American companies produce.arms, fight airplanes and worships for US army? US government and politicians just act.like bandits of black society.

Here is a president who lie everyday .    Is he the role model of his country ?

He is the role model of the Secretary of State Mr. Mike Pompeo for sure. They both lie .
Gringo Sinting
for now yes, but not for long, the same with other Chinese phone companies. Trump has proven the US is an unreliable supplier.
Richard Lumley Smith
Trump is preparing for USA to be isolated from World Trading markets until US debt problem is resolved /US Bond Market is closed down by China .
