2017 Toyota Tacoma vs. 2017 TEAM TOYOTA BRING THE 2016 5 months ago   07:29

Kelley Blue Book
The midsize pickup segment is heating up, and the Toyota Tacoma and Chevrolet Colorado are at the forefront of this resurgence. We pitted the two against each other to determine which model better suits your needs.

*Our comparison tests are different from most in that we keep the focus on comparison, not competition. We don't pick winners and losers because the right choice for one buyer is the wrong choice for another. Our goal here is not to tell you which small car to buy, but to make it easier for you to decide which is best for you.

Yea let’s buy a 40k vehicle and take it in the woods and tear the shit out of it and as far as the raptor more money than sense

I got rid of my 2016 Taco in favor of a 2017 Colorado. The Colorado is simply a more enjoyable vehicle to drive day to day.

Colorado does come with in a manual we had a couple when I worked at a dealership. The dealership usually only will special order them for you tho cuz they don’t sell otherwise

I would go Toyota on this one because reliability. Last Chevy I had got a coolant problem and it started overheating. And I had to get 4 rocker arm bolts replaced. Car was 2003 Impala.

GM? No thanks Taco all the way.

Father bought a brand new Tacoma in 2017. Two months later found out that the transfer case was defected and the rotors were warped/out of round. No more Toyotas for him. Now has a Colorado and its flawless. Plus more power and little better on gas.

2017 Colorado Z71 Review, my experience. Severe vibration within a year of owning brand new truck, torque converter replaced, continued slipping after replacement, brought back to dealership, claim that cannot find anything, image that. Also, what sounds like a fan on start up, making noise, claim that can't find anything. GOOD LUCK!

Has anyone else noticed that about 6 out of 10 GM vehicles have running lights out I've seen them brand new with dealer plates on with a light out what a joke go back to the drawing board I'll take Toyota every time
I'm a firefighter and our department gets Chevy trucks cause we buy in bulk and save nothing but problems
bootfan !!
GM, please make the 5.3L V8 an option across all Colorado trim levels. I'd pay $1800 extra for it in a heartbeat! Thanks.

lol, CR said EXACTLY the opposite about the highway ride of the trucks.

I bought a Colorado with heated seats, Bose speakers, remote start, 4WD, leather seats, 4 Door, limo tint, USB outlets in the front and back seats, LED light package, and 6 year warranty for 25K out the door at Chevy. Toyota wanted 45K for that same complete package on their Tacoma. There's NO way that 20K would make up for the "reliability" that Toyota claims to have in their Tacomas. There's no way I'll be paying 20K in repairs in my Colorado to outweigh that difference. Colorado all the way. Never had a problem with my Colorado. I'm happy as a clam (and with more leg room than you tacoma fan boys...) hehe ;)

I decided on the Colorado. I'm a tall guy, and the Tacoma has no head room for tall guys. I was also given a damn good deal and an extended warranty

Why Tacoma has better resale? It’s because it’s the best. There is no argument. No really. If Chevy, Ford, or Dodge were better, then their resale would be better than Toyota. Fair and square. I don’t know how much more to the point it can get. The difference is everything about the Toyota’s is made, designed, and manufactured here in the US, except for one very important component...the motor. Japanese trusted and true!

We’ll know the real difference in about 5 years, or 100,000 miles. Just sayin Tacoma. Then 200,000, then 300,000, then...hold on, gotta...humph...400,0...umm..

Wow, i like the Colorado.. Both trucks are nice. GM has stepped up their game..See GM can and does make good vehicles, not saying Toyota doesn't.. But that's a fair statement, looks like the Colorado is as good as a truck as the Tacoma.. Its a comparable truck. GM is getting in on that midsize truck market.. Thats proof they have good engineering to compete with Toyota, people are so quick to bash GM.. Times are quickly changing tho..

I really like the new design for the colorado not to say I find they ride very nice
