Awesome video. I need some help though. I have an MC-60 treadmill speed controller. I'm trying to eliminate the soft start and stop. Putting a switch from the board (red wire to the motor) gives me what I'm looking for but I am concerned about whether the board needs the load from the motor. Is it safe for the speed controller to run with a switch on the motor lead?

thanks but been over the 2 guides you published and havenot seen the actual process live, just the guidelines. that is a sad because dome people like me would need to see things inorder to copy that to their system, where it wouldnot be possible othereise, certainly not with the 2 theory settions you gave.
thanks anyway
less time
you should stay way from motors and electricity, and bye a video camera to make videos an dump this fucking phone on the river, fucking people used a fucking phone for everything, please go learn something and then came here w/a real video,,,please don't forget to bye a video camera

*Very nice treadmill>>>**ur2.pl/917** I was a little nervous about the width of the deck, but after running on it several times, while watching a movie or tv, I haven't once hit the edge like I thought I would. Assembly was quick and easy, and my wife loves the little resistance bands it has on it. I had a Proform about 13 years ago, here's another.*

Be nice to see what you got after scratching it. I have the same board I want to control with mach3.

Good start, Bart, but I'm having a hard time actually believing this will work. I do want to try this, but you have to convince me (you don't HAVE to, but it would be v useful!) Paul

Damn man, stop drinking
All you do is ramble on and on and on and never actually give any useful info

If you would like to scratch a trace off on a BCB use a dremel with an 1/8" drill bit in it, the drill bit wears away the copper trace real fast. Make sure to make a big gap or some circuits can arc.

Real question is did this WORK?
I'd hate to take your advice and screw up a 130 dollar board to find out your wrong. then have to find a different way to do it.
Sorry if your offended that was not my point.
You do know the Chinese are watching this stuff and taking our ideas, we will start seeing tools with DC motors on them with speed controls. I seriously can't think of a tool speed control wouldn't help along with a smaller motor and more HP as well as torque output at any speed. Also less gears and pulleys.

It seems this guy just wants to hear himself talk. Absolutely zero technical information given. Just a drunk rambling on in self-delusion.

I think I better get a bottle of whiskey? How do you know which parts of that board you need to use and not use ? Can you make it simple start with the plug in to the wall power 120v and walk it to the dc motor ?

i need a picture (couse-up pic) to see some parts.... R46,R47,R45,R35,R34....SOMEBODY CAN HELP ME???

Where do you put the ground wire? I can put out reg 0-5v to the "switch" but im lost on the ground.  a drawn out map would be useful.

Just figured out that black chip at 7:35 or so is a CY8C27143 - a "Programmable System-on-Chip. IE - this is a computer for some part of the tread mill. It is a respectable machine control unit (MCU - like the chip on an Arduino). This puppy runs at 24 MHZ!

I believe that "ferrite looking core thing" is the toroidal transformer for the high voltage DC supply for the motor. The bigger 'standard' transformer is for 12 & 5 VDC
