Yorkville has not been affordable since the 1950’s.

Affordable?
Give me a break.
Ryan K.
In the Park Slope video, people said that there prices were really expensive, but it was at least $1,000 cheaper than Yorkville.
Trace Ford
Uh you mean the Upper East Side?

I grew up on East 86th bet. York & East End during the 1950s and 1960s ...!

For the riff-raff that can't live UP in CARNEGIE HILL.
Even tho' it's far better than the GOD-AWFUL COMMIE HAVEN, the Upper West Side, you really don't want to live in JERKVILLE.
Thomas J. Lee
Very informative

2nd avenue subway open !!! =) we will see if this neighborhood will be affordable...

I live on 85th east of York (or Ave. A ). I enjoy the walk to and from the subway. In the morning it gives me time to get mentally prepped for the day, and on the way home it just gets quieter and more relaxing as I head east. Probably won't take the new Q since I'd have to switch trains at 59th.

When I go to the Christmas tree lighting at the park each year I feel like I'm in a small town.

I'm afraid Carl Schurz will be over run by people moving into the new developments on 1st. Remember everyone, there is a Carl Schurz Conservancy - give what you can each year.

It laughable that Yorkville is considered affordable. It's affordable only in the absurd alternate reality that is NYC real estate.

The NYT as usual propping up the hype and feeding the vicious cycle.

Gentrification woo hoo!
Audrey Rae
Sure do pray that this video doesn't affect the value of yorkville. More people will want to move to yorkville

Midtown Manhattan Isn't What A Look at Yorkville, Manhattan | Real 2 days ago   03:59

If when you think of Midtown Manhattan you think of traffic congestion and tourist traps, then it might be time for a re-visit. This part of New York has seen a boom in new restaurants and bars, especially from Brooklyn. Welcome to Midtown, where old New York charm is being joined by Williamsburg cool.
