I recently got a gaming pc with a high end sound card its far better then PS4 sounds.... curious to see what Sony offers in the overall package tho
Oh Wrinzey
Dang so anything under ps4 wont be backwards compatibility why is it hard for them to do all playstayion backwards compatibility instead of just one XBOX CAN DO ALL why is it so hard ????? I'm lost here any advice guys?
x Coconutt
Retards really going to bitch about 8K and forget about Everything else in the video.
L P
Pretty soon A.I will be building games and there graphics
MrGilRoland
“Physical discs”.
There you go. MS is fucked. Again.
JHMBB2
Bloodborne remastered on PS5 please
Jack Makackov
So it's a PC? What's the point when you could just build your own with whatever specs you want/can afford. This next generation will see even more people abandon consoles from the looks of it
Kevin shamal De Silva
Man i Dont care about 4 or 8k...Rather have 100fps at 1080...could someone with IT knowledge explain if that would Be possible?
Tactical Toot
Gonna have the RYZEN CPU, upgraded GPU, backwards compatible, switching to SSD instead of the archaic HDD, going to ray tracing. All we need is for them to ditch the 8K idea and shoot for 4K 60 FPS and we will have a BEAST to enjoy. Don’t know how they’re gonna go to SSD and ray tracing plus their stupid 8K idea and still keep it at a price “similar” to the PS4. It’s a literal overhaul. We’ll see.
largefats
The SSD in the PS5 isn't really specially made, it's running on a connection type that will be supported later this year on PC. Game system manufacturers can claim that they have this special thing that no PC has because they get this with a technicality. I wouldn't take this to mean that it's specially made for PS5.
I could be wrong, though I think it's more likely the option above.
Rifki Ikramullah
Can my GTX 1070 and i5-7500 run next-gen game reasonably?
Luke Bannon
People saying console gamers don’t care about frame rates, we really, really do. I’m also disappointed that we’re already well into PS4 life cycle and controller input lag is still horrendous. Also, yeah. 8k is a pure footnote. It’s great for future-proofing but most people don’t even own a 4K tv. 1440p would be great but to be honest, my ten year old Bravia HD TV still looks fresh with supersampling. No way am I dropping money on new equipment any time soon.
Steven Jan Cadena
Yeah haha, guess I'll wait out on getting Spider-Man and HZD then? If this drops next year and they announce a slew of first party launch exclusives (add to the fact that GOT, DS and TLOU pII would be backward compatible) then I'll be in for a sweet treat.
Arumat33
Still rocking my Sharp Aquos lol. Looks beautiful still after about 7 years
Ian Kirby
I’ll assume the cpu in question will be just under a modern 2700x just basing on lower clock speeds, and the gpu will be similar to the rumored rx 3080, the ssd will be nvme on the new pcie 4.0. The 8k will just be upscaling like with the ps4 pro. The Apu of the ps5 will the same on the Xbox 2 and will also be available for pc (imagine an intel nuc with it). And also please make a discless version Sony
jobustify
Don't forget their best new feature: unnecessary censorship!!
The Gir You Wish You Were
I can only imagine the price this will be when it finally comes out x.x 600? 700? dare i say 800, regardless i'll be holding my money for at least 2 years unless a game comes out on it that i feel like i absolutely need to play
Bl ai ze Ar
Honestly the price of a pc with those specs are pretty pricy so PlayStation gonna have a bit of a price jump. It seems there going fir alot of graphical power but that frame rate is going to suck. I'm genuinely curious about what Xbox is going to do. The Xbox one x was pretty impressive
Chaos_Dragoon
I just want a backwards compatibility were you can play PS1, PS2, PS3, and PS4 games

The Future of Ray Tracing Sony Shares PS5 Details: CPU, 1 day ago   10:48

Engadget contributor, Chris Schodt talks about graphics and the big news around ray tracing.

Computer graphics have come an incredible way since the days of the first video games. Games started as grids of white squares on a gray background, and have advanced through to 2-d scenes with 8 and 16 bit color, to polygons, complex textures, and full 3D.

Today, games use tools like tesselation, shaders, occlusion, and mapping to achieve nearly photo-realistic results. And we may be getting closer to the holy grail of lifelike graphics, ray-tracing.
