http://www.autobytel.com/chevrolet/colorado/2015/?id=32972 It has been a long time since there was a new entry into the mid-sized pickup truck market here in North America. In order to make a splash, GM has decided to take their Global platform and Americanize it in order to give buyers here in the U.S. exactly what they are looking for in a mid-sized pickup truck. The question is: does anyone really want a mid-sized truck? Full-sized trucks already come in every configuration imaginable.

GM thinks there is a market for mid-sized trucks. The Colorado is more of a lifestyle truck aimed at more urban drivers. It’s important to understand that the Chevrolet Colorado and GMC Canyon are built on an all new platform so they are entirely different from the previous generations.

Starting price on the 2015 Chevrolet Colorado is $20,120. There is also a range of engines that includes a 3.6 liter V-6 that makes 305 horsepower and 269 lb-ft. of torque as well as a 2.5 liter 4-cylinder that make 200 horsepower and gets 18 MPG in the city and 26 MPG on the highway. There is a nice variety of box or bed lengths and different cab sizes.

Active lifestyle, buy a new set of couch and or a 80 inch TV, well see if you can fit in your SUV. Buy a full size truck with a 6 foot bed and then you will suffocate yourself in your garage.

I don't get why the pickup concept is that popular in the US.
If you were having your weekly shopping, you have to put the stuff on the unprotected part of the truck...and what use is soaking wet bread etc. pp.

I want a truck for suburban use, but don't want something big.  I have a 2000 Tacoma with a 4 cylinder now, but it is too low in performance for my current needs.  I think GM quality has risen greatly and that Toyota quality isn't what it used to be. Toyota hasn't felt the pressure to upgrade the Tacoma...maybe it will now.  The Chevy is way more driver friendly.  So, I just special ordered a 2015 long bed crew cab Colorado.  It is a base WT V6 model, but I added the Appearance and Convenience.  Got it for $29k including TT&L.  I think I made a good decision.  Ask me in 6 weeks when the truck is delivered.  I had to order it, as these things are flying off the lot.  Worse case, I just put one small bit more pressure on Toyota to upgrade the Tacoma.

I wonder how much mpg less you get without the chin spoiler/skirt, or whatever its called? If it is about 1mpg, I would keep it off for sure.

GMC and Chevy lose billions in sales for one simple reason that I hear over and over again from people up North.  Lots admit that GMC and Chevy are nice but their front bumpers are too low to the ground.  They put them low for wind to save a cup of fuel a year.  Their wind engineers need a serious vacation so that engineers can build a truck.  Imagine a GMC or Chevy with a high front bumper with an approach angle greater than 0.  Its called a Toyota Tacoma and it is the sole reason, decision breaker why I just bought two new 2015 Tacoma's.  One for my wife and one for me.
