Virat Kohli Asks Indian Fans To Applaud Steve Smith | ICC Cricket World Cup 2019

ICC Cricket World Cup Match 14: Dhawan, Bowlers Shine as India Beat Australia by 36 Runs at Oval
In the rough world of sport where the winner takes all, it is good to see an empathetic heart. Virat Kohli was upset when a section of the Indian fans booed at Steve Smith during the course of the World Cup match at the Oval here on Sunday.

The Indian captain gesticulated to the crowd to pipe down and also requested that Smith should be cheered. Later he also had a word with the Australian batsman.
Asked about the incident, Kohli said: “I feel for him. Look we have had a few incidents in the past, we have had our arguments but now he is coming back. I noticed this in the IPL too that he is keen to play and there were some incidents. It happened today too (fans booing) and I felt bad for him. I went and apologised to him on behalf of the crowd. Look he has apologised, made his comeback and if he still gets booed, I mean if it had happened to me, I too would have felt bad.”

India beat Australia by 36 runs at The Oval to move to the third spot in the points table. It takes on New Zealand next while Australia will square off against Pakistan.

Shikhar Dhawan, Man of the Match: "We are h ..
Shikhar Dhawan's ongoing love affair with The Oval had its latest chapter after he scored a match-winning century in India's 36-run victory over Australia in their ICC Men's Cricket World Cup 2019 clash on Sunday, 9 June.
Opting to bat, India got off to a steady start. Rohit Sharma, who went on to make 57 off 70 balls, was dropped by Nathan Coulter-Nile on the third ball of the second over off Mitchell Starc.

Rohit and Dhawan then batted with caution, putting on 41 in the first 10 overs, before switching gears and adding 70 in the next 10 overs. Both the batsmen scored half-centuries, with Rohit also becoming the fourth batsman to score 2,000 runs in ODIs against Australia.
Coulter-Nile then provided the breakthrough, snuffing out Rohit in the 23rd over to break an opening stand of 127. But there was no stopping Dhawan, who already had two centuries and a fifty at The Oval.

He accelerated to convert his fifty to a brilliant hundred before Starc had him dismissed for 117. Later, Hardik Pandya's 27-ball 48 and skipper Virat Kohli's brisk 82 provided the late impetus as India posted 352/5.

In their chase, Australia adopted the same strategy as India, laying a foundation at the start. Just as Aaron Finch and David Warner were beginning to let loose, however, a mix-up ended in Finch being run out for 36.
The Indian bowlers ensured the Australians were always under the pump. Warner (56), Usman Khawaja (42), and Steve Smith (69) all got good starts, but failed to convert their knocks into something defining.

Alex Carey remained unbeaten on 55 in the end, but he ran out of partners as India bowled out Australia for 316 to get their second win of the tournament.

World Cup 2019, India vs Pakistan (Ind vs Pak) Predicted Playing 11 Today Match LIVE Updates: The biggest rivalry in cricket will be reignited today as India and Pakistan take on each other in the most anticipated Men Cricket World Cup 2019 clash at Old Trafford cricket stadium in Manchester on Sunday. What has become a major headline ahead of the clash is the possibility of rain that might lead to another World Cup washout at the ongoing tournament in the United Kingdom. India is currently 3rd on the points table with 5 points from 3 matches. Pakistan is 8th on the table, with 3 points from 4 matches.
The most anticipated duel in this match, only next to the one between the clouds and the sun in Manchester, is the battle between Virat Kohli and Mohammad Amir. The other duel which has a lot of interest is the one between Jasprit Bumrah and Pakistan’s top order.
India vs Pakistan: Author Tarek Fatah Mocks Sarfraz Ahmed Along With Inzamam ul Haq Ahead of The IND vs PAK ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 Clash at Manchester

India vs Pakistan: It is no secret that noted author Tarak Fatah never misses an opportunity to slam Pakistan. With the ongoing ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 on, he took the opportunity to mock the side again. The author shared a picture featuring Sarfraz Ahmed, Micky Arthur and former Pakistan cricketer Inzamam ul Haq. In the picture, Inzamam is having a hard look at the pitch that will be used for the clash against India. “The @CricketWcup2019 witnesses a bizarre spectacle only Pakistanis can offer. Capt. @SarfarazA_54 Ahmed brings out their 13th Man, a Mullah to bless the pitch for tomorrow’s match against India. Thank you @Sachin_anshu06 for sharing this gem. #INDvsPAK #PAKvsIND #WorldCup2019,” Meanwhile, it will be an uphill task for the Men in Green to beat India as the Kohli-led side is in astounding form and are yet to be beaten in the ongoing tournament. Also, Pakistan has never defeated India in a 50-over ICC CWC match.
Earlier, during the presser on the eve of the match, Kohli counted the positives and spoke about the atmosphere in the Indian dressing-room ahead of the high-voltage clash. India has started the World Cup 2019 campaign on an emphatic note by beating the likes of South Africa and Australia before sharing the spoils with New Zealand.
In an upbeat mood, Kohli said that they have not discussed anything differently ahead of the clash and they are taking this game like any other match. He also said that the fans get a little too emotional. “I can’t tell the fans to think of the game in a particular manner. For us, we can’t get too emotional. Our mindset is different from fans’. I wouldn’t say it’s easy for fans to think like a player. It’s crucial for us to be absolutely professional,” said Kohli.
