Great video.

Dragging poles is great exercise for stabilizing upper body. Try variations like reaching further with outside pole to encourage angulation or pushing inside pole forward to counter rotation, keep baskets a bit beside feet to promote centred stance! Great vid!

dont drag ur poles...

Dropping one hand behind the body is probably the biggest mistake people make. In icy bumps this usually results in a fall.

I gotta try it next time! Sometimes it feels like my legs are independent of me. They don't listen to my command)))

Tits down, hips up.

Nice technical comments. This guy knows what he’s talking about! Coming from a ski teacher on dry land now :(

Tip 4: the inside arm should always be in front of you. Never leave it behind or drag it behind.
Tip 0: find the best snow possible. Well groomed. Then you’ll have 35% of carving done

I am skiing for almost 30 years and tipp #1 is gold, I see MANY People do this mistake and doing it right increases your stability massively. Tipp 2 is more of an advanced mistake and is not AS critical as Tipp 1, but still good advice. Work with your hips/feet, not your upper body. I tend to do this when I'm getting tired, which is a good indication to take a break. No 3 I kinda disagree with. Might be related to my skiing style tho, since I tend to keep my ski VERY close together and pulling back the outside ski helps. To the contrary, it increases my stability because I like to lock the outside knee behind the inside knee, which basically creates one big leg rather than two separate...but depending on the slope and ice, I sometimes adopt a broader stance with less ski dragging

Put your current uphill ski on the new edge BEFORE it turns through the fall line to become your downhill ski. IF you don't you will NOT CARVE.
Tip: the ONLY way that is possible is to lean your upper body DOWNHILL, aggressively.
