I don't understand why new grads don't start a business in their hometown and build up the community. That what I'm trying to do with this pharmacy degree....

Education is a great thing but all of your life you're trained to be a slave. Get good grades, learn a trade or career path and work for someone else. ( you volunteer to be a slave for an hour wage or salary).
If you are smart, let other people go to school for you, you start a business in your field of interest and hire the people who went into debt and got the knowledge. Now you're out of debt and you got the knowledge, you're now educated at someone else expenses. Let see college give you that information.

Why do the more expensive nearby/comparable alternatives to these cities all have more relaxed marijuana laws? Interesting coincidence or correlation

Financial bubble is bursting. Just look at Uber. There is no good U.S. cities. It is going to be worse than 2008. Buckle up.
