In this participatory session, you will learn how to tell when someone is lying. Really. As a former CIA Officer with more than 20 years of experience in interviewing, interrogation and polygraph examination, Susan has seen her share of truth avoiders. She has, in fact, developed behavioral screening programs that are used by the federal government. Don’t miss out on learning her methodologies in spotting deception.

I showed this video to a psychologist I know, he stated that this lady is lying for saying she can spot a liar. She may had years of experience in the interrogation field and has gotten used to some demeanor that potential liars have exhibited over the years but her success rate is no more than 55%, i.e., 5% better than chance. This psychologist told me that spotting a liar is a game of chance and sheer dumb luck that I trained agent can spot but accuracy is no more than 55% (proven in university case study worldwide). It's very difficult to spot a liar even for the best of the best of the FBI agents. Just like lie detectors that have been proven untrustworthy.

I scratch my face because of the itch that lasts ever since I was a baby. In the cradle I scratched my face so much that I opened some wounds. Instead of finding what is the source of the itch, they assumed that I'm doing it "out of nastiness" and made gloves to tie over my hands. Took me decades to understand what is really happening with me, but right now I can't even afford simple examination at the cheapest doctor.

I feel comfortable in "closed posture" not because I have to hide something that I do, but because I was manipulated too much and want to keep potential manipulator "outside".

We all know that SOME investigators make up their mind in advance and just want to finish the case and declare it closed. That is the reason why are still innocent people in jail (even about 7% of executed were not guilty), and I never know what kind of investigator is interviewing me at the moment.

Will the truth be used against me?
"If you give me six lines written by the hand of the most honest of men, I will find something in them which will hang him." - Cardinal Richelieu
We tend to ask ourselves WHY is the investigator asking that question.

So, if "people tell lie 10 times a day on average", that includes investigators as well. :)

EDIT: Shaking your head left and right while saying "I like you" may not be a lie. If the person is in contact with Hindus, or few other nations (or watched and liked Bollywood movies), they may have expanded/twisted sense of head movement meanings. :)
nox scythe right to the face.
I honestly clicked on this, looking for boobs.

The biggest clue I find that there is usually a huge gut feeling you have that’s tied in with these things. And generally months of not days or weeks go by and the truth you felt pops up and yup they were lying.

After watching this I guess everything I do makes me a liar. I curl my corner lip when I speak at times (facial myalgia), I speak lower when I'm bothered or pissed (the angrier the lower, then I just don't want talk at at), I shake my foot after sitting for a long time, I cross my arms when I'm tired to keep from slouching (or when my back is aching), I'm sensitive to dust and smells (allergies) so I may touch my nose at times, I close my eyes periodically while talking (to hold back a yawns, get through an onslaught of pain that caught me off guard, control myself words when addressing a displeasing statement or behavior), then lets address that class of people who immediately become upset and defensive do to lifetime subjection of racism or abuse. That person will immediately feel highly targeted and on high defense do to being falsely judged and criticized doto their complexion.

These individuals aren't learning correctly under her. They should first be instructed to identify any outlying conditions that could translate as a lie. Then watch for patterns by asking basic legal life questions (number of siblings, ages of children, lifestyle situation questions). I am sure a bunch of innocent people would be targeted do to her inability to access beyond the literature she has read.

Her shoulder lifting up and back down showed a half answer, meaning she was trying to convince you otherwise but lying because she felt she had reasons to cook or be involved with cooking the books. Also, a whatever or oh well behavior

Oh and both Presidents reacted with anger/agression.

President Trump....hasnt denied, he just states what he did doesnt amount to anything. Two different responses....both are liars.

Need a denial to believe the person????? President Clinton "I did not have sex with that woman"

This was a great deal of information in a short period of time. I’m glad you differentiated between nervousness and lying.

I want to know if this lady being interviewed a real case interview, or not just someone that is acting for this class she is giving for a client

so this was useless. can't see her visual aids and cannot hear audience responses. she keeps referring to visual cues but I have no idea what they are. 20 minutes of my life that I will never get back. buh-bye

Not every one lies, if one has to tell lies it only gets one further into trouble.why should we have to mix with these people. Why put people into this position . It is up to the person asking to find out . A lier is worst than a thief to not trust the people we are mixing with is horrible. I went through a period when my own sisters were nasty against me with my ex husband who was talking with them . I knew something was wrong .i did find out later.and the trust was gone. Perhaps I am Nieve , but I would sooner be like I am . Than live with people I could never trust. And rely on . These people must be very mixed up .if we have to tell a white lie to avoid hurting someone , make sure you do not hurt someone that will cause them deep pain , that you cannot confront them if you have to honestly. Love is a matter of trust , none of us is perfect I know but one lie is covered up with another and another , some people are so deceitful . It must make people very upset and insecure .there so mixed up,leave them to stew in their own juices. Birds of a feather stay together. . They play with peoples minds . They are all mixed up.
