Video included of first reunion...definitely not what I was hoping for, but he likes his gift from Korea so I guess it's okay!
Chase is an Australian Shepherd mix that we rescued from a high-kill shelter when he was just becoming an adult doggo. We did not know his exact age when we adopted him, but we have had him now for about 10 years, and he's starting to show his age! Especially with, you know, NOT TOTALLY REMEMBERING WHO I AM!!!
The hanbok is the traditional clothing of Korea, where I have been living for the past year. Hanboks are mainly only worn now for fun pictures and more serious ceremonies, like weddings, although the "daily hanbok" exists for those who still want to wear a more modern and functional version during everyday life! My boyfriend bought me a daily hanbok that I wore to meet his extended family for the first time and for our first Chuseok together~
WHERE TO BUY: I bought this dog hanbok in person from one of the stands outside of Hongdae (Hongik University) Station, Exit 9. They sell dog hanboks online, too - just Google it, or search for "dog hanbok" to see what the Internet can offer!
~~
For those who are new, I am American, and my boyfriend Andy is Korean. We met in 2016 while I was studying abroad in Seoul at Ewha Womans University, then embarked on a 2 year long distance relationship journey! We were reunited permanently in August 2018, and officially moved in together February 2019.
We are here to humbly share our lives with others - we hope you enjoy the journey 💕
