The only thing getting in the way of global innovation is the selfish nature of humans.

But this is only happen when all the nation in this world comes together, for example, the space program: if the time Russia and America come together, sharing the technology instead of the space race, than the progress will be far more quicker; if China and America stop any form of fight but sharing all the resources to each other, than the world will become better. But this isn’t the case now. And another problem is the overflow of population, if the population growth in quicker than the growth of the resource of human’s necessary, than there will be people that start to starve or for example: no water to drink. I believe when all of the nation in the world think they are “Earth’s citizen” instead of “Some Country’s citizen” or “Some Nation’s citizen” then all the problem we face will solve; not only the over population can be solve by the accelerate of developing of the developing country by other developed country’s help, but all the research programs can finish much more quicker; every country can give the pie to each other, then the pie of Earth will shown, in other words, live will be better when the pie isn’t split by each nation but all together form a whole pie of Earth! Of course some of the reason is because the undevelopement from the education system when student cannot focus on their hobby and eventually become scientist or other job that they want but focus on something that they actually will not use in the future; I like a sentence which say that “student cheat on their homework and test isn’t they do not care about their future, but the education system care more about the score instead of what they really learn and really want to learn”, And one main issue of this is because the money need to improve the education system is in the unit of ton or more, and most of the country’s tax cannot afford that, and if all the people in this world comes together, then we can find a better solution to solve this problem, and when all the people come together, than the developement of the AI and robot can become quicker and people start to focus on “what human is unique about” instead of learning something robot can replace because human can never race with robot on the subject robot can do, but robot can never race with human in the subject human is unique at. When human start to change the scale from nation to Whole earth, it time that human have another bost and improvement.

You should tell that to rich people.

But it is only true if the people you are helping don't become better than you and then the roles get reversed !

So how are the peasant's children paying to get the degree in science and engineering? The parents selling their kidneys? How are you going to pay for the smartphone if there's no extreme low wage third world country worker to make it for you? With your kidneys? You can call this video Neoliberalism in a nutshell.

The problem is people don't want more of what I want, and demand does not come from improving the wrong parts of the world. A lot of religious people want to live a medieval age lifestyle and spend more time on worship. People in dictatorships don't want stuffs neither, they want to contribute to their glorious leaders because they've been brainwashed. Helping these people ends up hurting everyone else. We have to be wary of them

Untrue the argument of Industrial Revolution... You just threw out of the window the efforts and struggles of the working class around the wolrd to make a fairer society. It seems to me that you overlooked that the burgeoise class exploited the workers for 14 hours a day during the best days of the industrial revolution. It was not the amount of production that changed the world; it was the fear of communism that made capitalist powers interested in the so called welfare state: they gave more rights to the workers so that they wouldn't become socialists. Fast forward to the 90's: the USSR is gone and so is the fear of communism, then we see again 12 hour a day work, longer retirement, karoshi, and a growing gap between the rich and the poor. I'm not a communist, but I do not believe free-market economy is the top-end of our civilization, where only economic growth matters.

a bottom up development strategy is worse off than a top down
Can the United States get affordable to free colleges? And free health care? Major leaps for poor people too as well. Well probably won’t happen and oh livable wages and affordable housing? Probably not, well good news is we will not be alive forever.

So basically the rich should help the poor for a better society, well we just gotta wait for bill gates to die as he’s donating all his money to charity
