Nice! Your eye make up is gorgeous! Past era circa 1900s on make up intrigues me too.....love the 30s and 40s but the 60s surprisingly intrigued me as well...

1960’s makeup was very different than how mi depicted it (no shade just info!!)

first, yes, the face makeup (foundation, concealer, blush, contour and the highlighter) was used but as said in the video was kept natural and soft.

the eyes were the main attraction of the whole face. In the 60’s popular models such as twiggy and gene shrimpton did not have so much as almond shaped eyes but had rounder, bigger and deeper set eyes. When “cut creases” we’re done often, it is very different as to how mi did hers, and how we see them now. Instead, a dark line (black, grey or countour colored, not brown) either in or just above the crease was done. This color was a distinct line. They did not cut this line with concealer then directly place another color right under said line. Edie Sedgwick’s cut crease makeup is legendary and a perfect example. Eyeliner was big in making the eye stand out more. Mi flicked her liner slightly upward, which was not very popular. Instead, the liner would slip slightly downward, giving the appearance of rounder eyes. Gene shrimpton and twiggy appear with this liner, while Bridget Bardot does have a more traditional liner shape. Lashes were applied to further enhance the eye and lower lashes were drawn on for more drama.

Brows also helped the look of the eyes. Edie Sedgwick would use brow product from just over the end of her brow all the way to the beginning of her nose bridge. Audrey Hepburn also colored in her brows very thickly. Brows were drawn very arched to give the appearance of a very open look of the eye area.

Lips were left very pale, more pink to enhance natural color, and give more attention to the eyes.

Peter explained 1960’s makeup very well, the only thing I would say is off was mi’s technique for the eyes.

I think you could have gone more extreme with the make-up. Of course you were following the ads you shared, but you also shared much more interesting looks in the photos. The look you ended up with wasn't out of place today, and that's why I wish you had done something more eye-catching. That being said, I appreciate what notes you gave regarding what was typical. I simply would have preferred a more interesting final product that looked different from what I see today.

Her end result looks more 90s to me, especially with the clothes. Not 60's at all.

I could see your makeup skills is getting better and seriously your eyeshadow game has changed👏🏻

it was great until the eyeshadow :^( i would’ve gone with a more neutral brown for the crease and definitely something matte and more primary for the lid.

I lived the 60s'. you did well. extend the eyebrow 1 hair-thin line longer. lips perfect. blush on neck starts at hairline on neck 'cord' toward ear about 3/4 to 1 in wide on both sides. thins your neck. You look beautiful in last shot. You have the 'look' for the 60s'.
