Seafoam--can't believe what it did to my engine!! Sea Foam Toyota Tundra 2000 7 months ago   10:12

Does SeaFoam actually work in a vehicle? The ultimate test---a 30-year old truck with noisy lifters and horrible oil pressure! This engine sounds like a 1990s era diesel! Did this stuff work? The video will provide proof!

I use Seafoam in all of my vehicles. I add a can to about every five tanks of gas. I have a 2006 Honda Element with 140,000 miles on the clock. The emissions light used to come on quite often. Since I have been using Seafoam the emissions light rarely comes on. And the car runs great! I also use it in my two vintage Buicks and my 2012 Maxima. I get better mileage and smoother idle with every car that gets a can of Seafoam in the tank every so often.

Come on, you are giving away all of the used car sales tricks...

Interesting video when I was banger racing we used stp and gear oil to quieten the engine and stop smoking lol

I am ever the 'optimist',
so I tried this product in my 5.7L Hemi.
The end (END) results were not good.
I could not confirm the how or why, but a valve seat got loose and the
Dodge Magnum R/T 5.7L was DEAD.
Good luck on your D.I.Y. videos and all.

p.s. I was very happy to see that there are still funny grease monkeys out there.
Reading through the comments . . .
I must look into this 'Seafoam' E.D. cure.
LOL

Temporary fix for a bad engine.....love the pollution....good old airfoam.

Seafoam in the crankcase raised the oil level, which will usually quiet an engine even if it's just more oil. Only way to get that instant effect. Bringing up the level will put the bottom of the crank into it and as it rotates it flings oil everywhere and keep the parts coated much better, taking up slop and quieting clatter. The trouble is it decreases top end power due to the extra drag at higher RPMs. It did appear to help clean things a lot, and I expect an immediate second oil change would be advised.

Adding the Lucas treatment (seriously thick, and I expect that is it's main benefit) will have a dramatic effect on the oil's viscosity, raising it and of course raising the oil pressure along with it.

I'm not saying there isn't real benefit here, but a lot is just due to changes you can make without buying any special treatments. The cleaning effect through the intake and in the oil looks pretty impressive though.

If it really worked the auto manufacturers would be all over it like white on rice it might be a temporary Band-Aid that's it.
Don't believe any of these snake oil products that say it's going to cure your engine maybe Lucas Oil in the crankcase if it's really bad. 🤔😑😑

Alright, I'm convinced you did a very fair test here. It's on my grocery list, because I have a ticking problem on my old 83 Dodge Rampage.

You added the Seafoam top engine cleaner incorrectly. Your supposed to put the intake hose back on, with the straw wedged in on the side (comes with a plastic tool to keep it from pinching off). Or, you add it through a vacuum hose.

Thanks for the vid. I use both products. Lucas products and Seafoam.

great video. I run seafoam through brakebooster vacuum line also, adding it just enough from killing the engine. when I get to the last quarter of the can I pour it in killing the engine, let sit overnight, then run it up and down the road to blow it out. This will clean the top half of the motor as well as increase power. Thanks for the tip of putting in crankcase. I tried this with adding the Lucas oil treatment on a truck that had 315k miles, and took all ticking and lower end know away!! Thanks for the video. (Paul)

I think it's about time my Ranger got the seafoam treatment. Can't hear the power steering pump blaring over the engine anymore lol. God I love that truck.

You might be able to get all the Lucas out of the bottle by first pouring out 3/4 of the bottle, then filling it back up to 3/4 with regular oil. Shake that up to dilute what's left in the Lucas bottle before pouring it out.
