Hot mix to get this party started... ohh wait. the stereo doesn't have Bluetooth.

With the point phones seem to be going, I'd almost rather just get one of those LightPhones or whatever. Something that covers the basic needs and is easy to repair.
Robert Rossignol
As someone who works in music production, no it isn't.

I mean it was nice having a universal audio jack. Rip.

I still think getting rid of the headphone jack is stupid. If the excuse is that they want to make the phone thinner -- why should we care? Thinner phones just mean more fragile, bendable phones. The "it's a decades-old port, we should ditch it" excuse is also baseless. Audio is by definition analog, and both lightning and USB-C headphones use analog signals, with four of the pins on the lightning/USB-C port replacing the four segments of a headphone jack. If they used a digital signal instead, the headphones themselves would need to incorporate a digital-to-analog converter, making them more expensive. As for the water resistance argument, Samsung has been making water-resistant phones WITH headphone jacks for years.

Because more money can be made selling dongles, next video.

LG: Yes the more competitors don't have the headphone jack, the more consumers want to buy our product. Continue this trend, my foolish competitors!

there have been attempts, yes, but i don't think it's gonna die any sooner. do they really think everyone in the world has access to high end phones that are particularly promoting no headphone jack?

have they lost grasp with reality? lmao
nice try, but it ain't gonna die. bluetooth headphones are so unreliable and dongles are such a hassle of an accessory.

Current phone bought last year has a 3,5 jack and you can bet your ass I'll be looking for another one with a jack when I'm due for a replacement.

Fuck the headphone jack, I hate that I gotta leave my electronics on land when I scuba dive or go to the water park or take a shower and can't listen to my femboi hypnosis mp3s. Now all we need is waterproof Bluetooth headphones or just beam your entire library into your brain like some HID. It's 2019 and they can't just implant chips in our heads from birth and broadcast your tunes/podcast/sissy hypnosis/phonecalls etc from a cell site? SMH, and we call ourselves the smartest animals on he planet. Buncha hooey if you ask me, now I must return my own

I literally bought the LG V30 second hand just so I could use my earphones. Which honestly sucks because after a year, I still prefer iOS UI. Apple is literally shooting itself in the foot.

i will help you stope buying apple producte they are robing people no reason for every year new phone or overpriced accsesosories bside making as mutch as they can you can buy the same thing for 10% of the price and will last as apple product
metal87power
But do those Apple headphones requires an outside charge, do they?

The statement made by companies that wireless solutions are better than wired are a complete lie. Wired headphones just provide much more ability to carry information and it's consistent. Plus it's a pain the ass to charge the wireless shit. Also the adapter that they make just adds complexity and delays though I'm not sure how much impact it has on the quality but I imagine that it has to be somewhat harmful to the quality.

those are still not good reasons to remove the headphone jack… it would be nice if there wasn't stupid trends and they actually made something worth while like idk how about bigger batteries instead smaller batteries trying to get phones as thin as paper and bring back removable batteries for god sake, and get rid of the stupid notches and keep the headphone jack
Kharlie[N4N1]
Lmao hopefully they dont remove them xbox/ps4 controllers lol
Luigi Player 14
We could have more features and durability if phones stopped getting thinner, but no we should lose the headphone jack instead.
SiriusXAim
Am a DJ, and I can say that, in pro audio no one wants to get rid of the headphone jack. Wireless is one more thing that can go wrong in the setup, so big 1/4 inch jacks, RCA and XLR connectors are a must. I'd rather enjoy the cable mess than the remote chance one devices unpairs in mid set. At home, I'd rather have a cable than realising halfway through my day I forgot to charge my headphones.

no more for a headphone jack??? make the phone bigger
