Learn how to replace the ENTIRE front suspension of your car in this two episode series. First I will show you how to remove the wheel bearing, ball joints, control arms, tie rod, strut, and axle.

The ball joint and wheel bearing has to be pressed out of the knuckle and I have a bunch of tips and tricks to make that easy. The upper control arm ball joint and tie rod can get stuck in the knuckle so I show some tricks on how to easily remove that. The rest of the suspension parts are pretty simple to remove and replace.

did you forget the sway bar? its also part of the suspension. how about the cv axle? its an independent suspension. wait...……. its rear wheel drive right? my ford focus 2008 is front wheel drive. proceed. ill just sit here. there. now lets enjoy the video.

Chris, how can anybody possibly know if their parts "Meet or exceed OEM Spec"?
First of all, what is spec?
Second of all, are we leaving it up to the guy at the service counter or the writing on the box to tell us if a part "Meets or Exceeds"?
Have you ever seen a parts box that reads "does not meet Ford GM or Chrysler specs"?
I'm not giving you S###, i'm just asking because i see that all the time, but its a term that i've never seen a quantifiable way to check, other than "I've heard of that brand, it must be good".

FYI, at rockauto you can generally get an entire replacement lower control arm for about the same price as a ball Joint. that includes the arm, the joint & new rubber bushings.
As an additional incentive, its easier to replace the whole arm (2 bolts) than the Ball joint on most cars.

So I have a 1987 mazda b2600 mini truck, and it makes like these rattle/clinging noises whenever I’m pressing on the throttle as well as when I’m changing gears. I have no idea except that it could be that the cross member is loose because of how old the truck is, or if it’s just that the transmission is old. It used to be good, and it just started out of nowhere.

I'm about to do a similar job on my 2005 Honda Civic EX, but going way overboard on parts. Replacing all of the rubber with solid polyurethane bushings, new lower control arms, end links, sway bar bushings, tie rod ends, ISC Suspension coilovers, and aftermarket (maybe Skunk2) aluminum control arms/trailing arms, adjustable camber arms, sway bars, subframe and strut tower braces (probably Tanabe), and then doing an RSX 5-lug hub and brake conversion (essentially bolt on). I want to get brakes and suspension all around solid before I even bother thinking about doing an engine swap. I'd eventually like to put a built K20A in this car and keeping it naturally aspirated, nice and simple, cold air intake and 3" catback exhaust with a tune.

I know this car can handle like a beast and I've got a lot of the parts on the way. It should be pretty damn good. I'm not looking for something insanely fast, but a sleeper and a bit surprising for how it looks, really solid and fun to drive. I just wish someone made aluminum aftermarket front lower control arms for it, but I'm thinking about getting some machined.

I noticed this is a late model Honda. I have a 2010 Acura TSX, only my driver side tire is being worn out just the same as the tire in the video. I'm also experiencing a knock when I slightly press the break. After doing the suspension check you showed, would you recommend replacing any suspension parts on just one side or both sides, i.e. ball joints, control arms, tie rods, etc.?
