Iran announces military buildup 🇮🇷 Iran marks 40th 1 week ago   08:35

Iran is celebrating the 40th anniversary of its Islamic Revolution. Meanwhile, the nation is facing a series of political and economic hardships. Despite US sanctions and tensions with the Iranian leadership, the EU is committed to trade with Iran. Last week, the EU launched a trade mechanism meant to provide a lifeline to Iranian firms and bypass US sanctions, which in turn drew a warning from Washington. Today, tens of thousands of people gathered in the capital of Tehran for a rally led by President Hassan Rouhani. He told crowds that Iran is determined to expand its military power and ballistic missile program, and won't ask anyone for permission to do so.

The most smartest move from Iran was taking american spies hostage. That what great Dr. Mosadegh should do but he was too nice. Arab countries should take american and british spies hostage too but their regimes are too corrupt.

Love and respect to our Iranian brothers and sisters from Turkey. 🇹🇷🇮🇷❤️🇮🇷🇹🇷
Stay strong the noble nation of Iran, you have defied the greatest power on the planet and its puppet allies and I hope you continue to do so. Violence will solve nothing. This Sunni/Shia divide needs to end before it reaches a point where the generations to follow us will only know hatred and fear against one another.
Peace and blessings be to all of you, no matter what nation you hail from or what faith you follow. ❤️🌹❤️

It's funny how easy it is to fool westerners, iran is a 80 milion country, gathering 200 thousand kids and military personnel in a square is very easy, just give each one a key chain and they will come, most will come out of fear anyways, these news agencies are either naive or are paid to say and show what iran government wants, one thing is known, Europeans don't care about any standards as long as they can profit something, as long as they make money in iran, who cares about freedom or justice for iranians

Nice place. Lot's of passionate people rooting for their country. I can understand that. To bad the US is going to have to "carpet bomb" the place.

Iranian youths(tens of millions of them) are now a days against even Shia Islam which is much more moderate than Sunni Islam. do not forget that having a veil(Hijab) is mandatory for women in Iran. but Iran has the vastest underground lives in the world. if U live(not as a tourist, at least not completely) in Tehran U'll admit what i'm talking about...

Why didn’t you start the history of this circle when the USA and U.K. joint hands in a Coup d’État in 1952 against democratically Elected President Mossadegh who nacionalizes the oil operation in Iran ..? Then the USA have put there their Puppet leading to the radicalisation of the system with religion ruling ... HYPOCRITES !

🇮🇷 Iran marks 40th Iran announces military buildup 1 week ago   15:55

Iranians have taken to the streets across the country to mark the 40th anniversary of the 1979 revolution, renewing their allegiance to the country's Islamic principles at a time of rising economic and political pressure amid the resumption of punishing US sanctions.

In his address to the demonstrators gathered at Tehran's Azadi (Freedom) Square on Monday, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani dismissed US efforts to isolate Tehran, saying US sanctions could not break the Islamic Republic.

"The presence of people today on the streets all over Islamic Iran... means that the enemy will never reach its evil objectives," Rouhani said, adding that the country will continue to pursue its missile programme to defend the country from external threats.

"We have not asked, and will never ask for permission in developing our missile arsenal as we continue to pursue our path to military might."

Iran organises the nationwide rally every February 11 to highlight the size of grassroots support for the revolution, which replaced Shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi's government with an Islamic Republic under Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini.
